We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team at Deep Science Ventures as a Co-Founder in Residence, focusing on preventing methane emissions from biomass.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with our team to create a new venture that addresses the critical issue of methane emissions from biomass fermentation. With your expertise and passion for innovation, you'll play a key role in developing a technology that can effectively prevent these emissions at scale.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of a new venture focused on methane emissions prevention from biomass fermentation
- Collaborate with our team to identify and address the key challenges and constraints in this area
- Apply your expertise in (bio)geochemistry, environmental chemistry, or a related field to develop innovative solutions
- Work closely with our team to commercialize the technology and secure funding
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A PhD or equivalent industry R&D experience in (bio)geochemistry, environmental chemistry, or a related field
- Strong understanding of current approaches and state-of-the-art technologies in methane emissions prevention
- Experience in leading or managing commercial delivery of innovative biotech, engineering, or industrial ventures
- Industry-specific know-how and commercial knowledge relevant for this opportunity area
- Experience in startup ecosystems and fundraising
As a Co-Founder in Residence at Deep Science Ventures, you'll have access to:
- Optimized tools, resources, and processes to help create high-impact ventures from scratch
- Opportunity area-specific know-how from our network of Partners and Advisors
- Up to £250k in investment to incorporate the new venture and develop early proof-of-concept data
- Guaranteed income of £4,166 per month paid as a consultancy fee until the company is launched and the pre-seed investment is secured
- Majority equity stake in the new company for you and your co-founders
- Continuous post-spinout support, including fundraising, commercial partnerships, recruitment, and team-building
