About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Lead to join our team at Demelza, a leading provider of palliative care services for children and young people. As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for providing dynamic leadership and support to our nursing and care team, developing and leading the provision of high-quality services to ensure safe and effective care is delivered to our patients and their families.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Oversee the delivery of direct nursing care, ensuring good use of resources and facilities available.
  2. Assist the Deputy Director of Nursing and Care and Director of Clinical Services in advising the organisation on its overall strategic direction to accommodate all relevant paediatric palliative care initiatives and national healthcare agendas.
  3. Safeguard all children and young people accessing services by responding to concerns raised in a timely and appropriate manner and effectively escalating these in accordance with policies and procedures.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse: Child, Learning Disability and/or Adult
  • BSc/BA Degree in a relevant subject (or working towards)
  • MSc/MA or commitment to commence and complete
  • Quality improvement/practice development skills
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
