About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Clinical Lead to join our team at Demelza, a leading provider of palliative care services for children and young people. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing high-quality services that meet the needs of our patients and their families.

Main Responsibilities
  • Oversee the delivery of direct nursing care, ensuring effective use of resources and facilities.
  • Collaborate with the Deputy Director of Nursing and Care and Director of Clinical Services to advise on strategic direction and develop paediatric palliative care initiatives.
  • Safeguard children and young people accessing our services by responding to concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse: Child, Learning Disability and/or Adult
  • BSc/BA Degree in a relevant subject (or working towards)
  • MSc/MA or commitment to commence and complete
  • Quality improvement/practice development skills
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
Experience and Knowledge
  • Previous experience of risk management, clinical governance, policy and audit within a clinical setting
  • Recent clinical practice
  • Leadership at Band 7 equivalent role
  • Working as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Networking locally and regionally
