About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Healthcare Support Worker to join our South Gwynedd Older Person's Mental Health Team. The successful candidate will work in partnership with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver care to individuals with dementia in the community.

Main Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the smooth running of the day unit, providing day services to individuals with dementia.
  • Work occasionally without direct supervision in the community, with access to a qualified nurse for advice and guidance.
  • Promote a positive attitude to dementia care and maintain individual needs for privacy, respect, dignity, and confidentiality.
  • Carry out assigned tasks involving direct care to those who have memory difficulties, as directed by the qualified nurse.
