Neurological Specialist Physiotherapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist to join our Community Neurology Service (CNS) in Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust.
The CNS is a multi-disciplinary team providing specialist rehabilitation and management of long-term neurological conditions. The service offers practical support, advice, and therapy to service users, carers, relatives, and other healthcare professionals.
The successful candidate will work alongside a team of healthcare professionals, including specialist neurology physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, clinical psychologists, therapy support workers, and administrators.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe Clinical Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist will be responsible for:
- Providing expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with neuro and/or complex presentation.
- Working as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team in Gloucestershire, acting as a resource to other medical, nursing, therapy, and social services staff and voluntary agencies.
- Providing clinical expertise, teaching, and service development in the field of neurological rehabilitation.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Significant postgraduate neurology education (level 7) and neurology-specific experience at senior level.
- Experience of delivering specialist community neuro rehabilitation services in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Evidence of planning, organising, and evaluating formal teaching in the neurological field.
- Experience of evaluating clinical practice using current research, guidelines, audit/outcomes.
