Job Description

TPF Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Audit and Accounts Senior to join one of the top accountancy practices in Kent. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for a mixed portfolio of clients, split equally between audit and accounts. This role offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Audit and Accounts Manager, you will focus on audit and accounts activities, working closely with the team and clients to deliver high-quality results.
  • Support a diverse range of clients, from owner-managed businesses to not-for-profit organizations, providing expert advice and guidance on audit and accounts matters.
  • Lead audits from planning to completion, ensuring timely and efficient delivery, and liaising with clients as necessary.
  • Provide accountancy and taxation advice and support to clients, helping them navigate complex financial issues.
  • Host and conduct pre-audit and post-audit meetings with clients, ensuring clear communication and understanding of audit findings.
  • Assist in the management of a team of qualified and part-qualified accountants, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and expertise.
  • Mentor colleagues, reviewing their work and encouraging prompt and high-quality delivery and service.
  • Develop and expand the team's skillset through development plans and training, ensuring the team remains up-to-date with the latest industry developments.
  • Contribute to the firm's growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients, helping to drive business development and expansion.
Requirements
  • You should be either ACA or ACCA-qualified, with a strong understanding of audit and accounts principles.
  • Experience in FRS102 is essential, as is a strong communicator who can converse with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A progressive mindset and a willingness to improve your career are essential for success in this role.
Benefits
  • A highly competitive salary of £43,000 - £48,000, dependent on experience and background, is on offer, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
