Overview

Your Role and Contributions

  • Oversee the organization’s worldwide transfer pricing framework, ensuring the documentation is current and the transfer pricing model remains robust as the business landscape evolves.
  • Deliver strategic tax insights to commercial and legal teams regarding operational activities, cross-border dealings, market growth, product launches, and various business initiatives to optimize the tax stance.
  • Provide guidance and supervision concerning the organization’s non-UK/US direct tax compliance responsibilities, with a focus on the Asian markets, collaborating with local finance teams and external consultants.
  • Collaborate with the broader Direct Tax Team and local finance units to manage global operational transfer pricing issues, mitigate tax risks, and enhance tax and finance workflows.
  • Assist in the management of the organization’s non-UK/US tax exposures and disputes, contributing to year-end tax reporting and provision assessments.
  • Facilitate relationships with external consultants, compliance service providers, and tax authorities.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to direct tax procedures through automation and other efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will be a proactive, qualified tax expert (ACA, CPA, ACCA, CTA, ATT or equivalent), possessing:

  • A comprehensive understanding of international tax issues, particularly in transfer pricing and compliance.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a track record of fostering strong working relationships across departments.
  • The capability to analyze situations, resolve issues, constructively challenge norms, and influence outcomes.
  • A natural curiosity and eagerness to stay informed about rapidly changing regulations and developments in the taxation of digital products.
  • A methodical approach and proven ability to perform effectively within a complex organizational structure while meeting stringent deadlines.
  • Experience in spearheading process enhancement and automation initiatives.
