About the Company:
An esteemed manufacturer based in South West Wales is seeking to enhance its Operations and Manufacturing division by recruiting a skilled NPI Program Coordinator. This role is pivotal in overseeing all Continuous Improvement (CI) and New Product Development (NPD) project management, ensuring effective planning, coordination, execution, and successful completion of projects.
With secured investments for the upcoming years, the company is strategically positioned to leverage market opportunities and is anticipating substantial growth following the launch of a new product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Manufacturing Engineering team.
- Facilitate the transfer of NPD designs from Research & Development to Operations.
- Organize and optimize manufacturing processes and production lines.
- Implement manufacturing process enhancements to boost efficiency, minimize costs, and maximize profitability.
- Manage raw material obsolescence.
- Oversee Engineering Change Control processes.
- Provide Design for Manufacture (DfM) support to R&D.
- Coordinate all Operations projects, including CI and NPD initiatives.
- Oversee the development and optimization of manufacturing processes from concept to implementation.
- Manage Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) processes.
Candidate Requirements:
- Background in Engineering, preferably within the medical or electronics sectors.
- Minimum of HND in an Engineering discipline; a BSc is preferred, though relevant industry experience will be considered.
- Proven experience in project management.
- Ability to manage and coordinate cross-departmental activities.
- Familiarity with Verification and Validation testing and documentation.
- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes typically associated with box-build manufacturing.
- Experience in CAPA management.
