Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems and associated environments.
  • Evaluate the current utilization of digital certificates across various business units and infrastructure teams.
  • Facilitate the integration of new teams into the PKI framework.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity assessment teams to prioritize the transition to automated certificate management.
  • Engage with App Service managed certificates, as well as both private and public certificates, including those sourced from Key Vault.
  • Oversee Key Management Systems (KMS) to ensure the security of cryptographic keys.
  • Support and manage the deployment and automation of PKI and certificates, including Thales Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).
  • Conduct certificate lifecycle management tasks, including the issuance and revocation of certificates.
  • Address operational challenges as they arise.
  • Administer Certificate Authority functions, including Certificate Enrollment Web Service and Policy Web Service, while monitoring Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS).
  • Educate stakeholders on best practices in cybersecurity, particularly in relation to certificate lifecycle management.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Information and Cyber Security principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and ISO27001.
  • Experience with PKI systems, ACME protocol, and RESTful APIs.
  • Proficient in Certificate Authority Administration and ADCS monitoring.
  • Knowledge of PKI machine identity technologies, including SSH, SSL, and TLS.
  • Experience in managing Key Management Systems (KMS) for cryptographic key security.
  • Proficient in:
    • PKI and certificate deployment and automation.
    • Thales HSMs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Organized and diligent in utilizing time and project management tools.
  • Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently while aligning with the broader vision for Network Security.
  • Open to learning new technologies and capable of analyzing technical workflows to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Committed to continuous self-improvement and skill development.
  • Curious and eager to share knowledge with the team.
