Position: Senior Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner to become an integral part of our Design team, specifically within the Nuclear Major Projects sector.

Location: Liverpool, Speke

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time - Hybrid working options are available, with an expectation of on-site presence at least three times a week.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Planner, you will play a crucial role in our Nuclear Major Projects team, contributing to a significant energy initiative focused on delivering nuclear-grade reinforced concrete and infrastructure for one of the UK's largest projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the planning efforts to execute an NEC Option C contract for the construction of a reinforced concrete frame building.
  • Creating and managing programmes for acceptance, impact assessments, weekly forecasts, project control dashboards, reports, and programme narratives.
  • Evaluating project metrics, particularly work rates, to ensure that key programme milestones are accurately tracked and represented in project dashboards.
  • Collaborating with the commercial team to generate precise forecasts for project completion based on labor resources and material requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

This Senior Planner role is ideal for candidates who possess:

  • Experience in planning within the UK NEC contract framework.
  • A strong familiarity with reinforced concrete frame construction techniques and methodologies.
  • A background in construction across a diverse range of engineering projects, with a solid understanding of commercial and contractual principles.
  • The ability to take ownership and contribute to planning, programming, and risk management from the tender phase through to project completion.
