We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Device Engineering Specialist to join our Clinical Engineering team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of medical devices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and execute cost-effective procurement and support of medical devices in the Trust.
- Contribute to plans for the replacement of existing medical equipment and support the business case process for the acquisition of new/additional equipment.
- Manage equipment deployment into clinical service, including the planning of ongoing maintenance provision.
- Support the Trust response to medical equipment related safety alerts.
- Provide engineering advice and support to consultant, clinical, scientific and technical staff on highly complex issues involving medical devices.
- Masters degree in Medical Engineering or equivalent.
- Post-graduate qualification related to medical device management.
- Working knowledge of legislation and guidance relevant to the management of medical devices.
- Experience of developing medical device requirement specifications and leading technical evaluations.
