Head of Finance

My client is seeking a skilled Head of Finance to lead their finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing financial resources, providing leadership, and ensuring the provision of financial reporting.

Responsibilities:
  • Managing financial resources, including budget preparation and financial monitoring
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the finance team
  • Ensuring the provision of financial reporting, including financial statements and compliance with DfE and ESFA guidelines
  • Implementing best practices and ensuring financial systems are fit for purpose
  • Auditing internally and externally, including payroll and pension management
Requirements:
  • Experience as a Head of Finance, Finance Director, or Senior Finance position
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage a team of 6 direct reports
  • Experience with public finance and associated procedures and regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex data
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
Desirable:
  • Experience working in a multi-site organisation
  • Familiarity with ESFA and Education sector experience
  • CIMA/ACCA or equivalent qualification
