We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Construction Planner to join our team at Byrne Bros (Formwork). As a key member of our construction operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and direction to the planning and production control processes, ensuring that all programmes are compliant with project requirements and adopted by the construction team.
- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date project timelines, resource plans, and performance reports, providing detailed analysis and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including construction, estimating, and surveying departments, to ensure effective communication and coordination of project activities.
- Identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency improvements, ensuring that the most advantageous construction solutions are adopted.
- Represent the company/project with main contractors and other stakeholders, providing expert content for documents and submissions as required.
- Provide guidance and support to planning team members, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Proven track record in construction planning, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with colleagues at all levels and communicate complex information effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, and planning software such as Asta PowerProject.
- Commercially astute and understanding of the construction process, with the ability to identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency improvements.
