Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning function across a designated area of responsibility, ensuring that projects and tenders are effectively planned, scheduled, and monitored.
  • Deploy and implement business planning and project controls procedures across portfolios, with a focus on larger or more complex projects.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication and collaborative relationships with clients and other project stakeholders.
  • Manage and resolve any actual or potential conflicts with clients or project stakeholders.
  • Build and lead high-performing teams, inspiring and empowering individuals to deliver high-quality standards and outputs.
  • Provide performance management, technical, and career development, and coaching to team members.
  • Work collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of associated carbon emissions and reductions.
Requirements
  • Expert knowledge of schedule management tools and software.
  • Mastery in setting up effective planning and schedule management systems and procedures.
  • Able to manage activities with significant uncertainty of solution or outcome.
  • Multi-industry construction experience.
  • Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
  • Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of projects.
