**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Advice Policy Consultant to join our team in Birmingham. As a Commercial Policy Advisor, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advice policy guidelines, processes, and products for our financial advisers.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Take ownership of financial advice areas within which our Financial Advisers operate
  • Research, develop, and enhance advice policy
  • Create and communicate Advice Policy documentation, including advice guidelines, suitability report templates, and fact find documentation
  • Build good relationships with head office colleagues and Financial Advisers
  • Ensure our systems are aligned to support Advice Policy
  • Conduct regular reviews to ensure any automation in the advice process is continuing to deliver the expected outcome
  • Ensure providers are delivering good customer outcomes and fair value for money to our clients
  • Maintain good relationships with third-party providers
  • Support project initiatives, including new systems development, regulatory changes, or product developments
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the FCA, ICOB, MCOB, and COBS rules

**Requirements:**

  • Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent and working towards Advanced Diploma
  • Demonstrated Financial Services Advice experience
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Regulatory framework of the UK financial services industry
  • Knowledge of a wide range of financial services products and services, including pensions, investments, protection, inheritance tax planning, and commercial advice
  • Financial Advisor experience
