Teaching Personnel is seeking to recruit a dedicated and full-time Teaching Assistant to support our primary educational institution in Leeds. This role involves working 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during term time. The compensation for this position ranges from £83.95 to £95 per day.

We are looking for a motivated and dependable individual who is comfortable engaging with students who have special educational needs. This position demands a strong commitment to the welfare, education, and development of children. Candidates with relevant backgrounds, such as Teaching Assistants, SEN Sports Coaches, or Healthcare Assistants, are highly encouraged to submit their applications.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • A minimum of a Level 2 Certificate in Early Years Education or Childcare (Level 3 is preferred).
  • Prior experience working with young learners in educational or childcare environments.
  • Basic first aid certification is beneficial.
  • A clear DBS check or equivalent background verification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement small group tutoring or catch-up programs.
  • Provide one-on-one tutoring or catch-up sessions.
  • Support classroom educators in their duties, ensuring that students with special educational needs are actively involved in lessons and making satisfactory progress.
  • Carry out break time and lunch time responsibilities as assigned.
  • Foster positive working relationships with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to ensure effective communication.

All quoted pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the potential for a permanent role in the future.
