Teaching Assistant Graduate Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our team at a fantastic primary school in Bath. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background and ideally some previous experience working with children.

The primary school is graded outstanding by Ofsted and offers a supportive and collaborative environment for our staff. As a teaching assistant, you will work closely with the teaching staff to provide support to students in either KS1 or KS2, depending on your previous experience.

This is a one-year contract for the graduate appointed, with a competitive daily rate offered. The school provides ongoing support and training, as well as the opportunity for continual professional development and teacher training for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to teaching staff in the classroom
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of lessons
  • Work with students in small groups or one-to-one
  • Support the development of students' skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Education to a degree level (2:1 or above desired)
  • Previous experience working with children (ideally in a teaching assistant role)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
