Job Title: General Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to join our team at a welcoming and inclusive school in Bath. As a General Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of engaging and effective lessons across various subjects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers in delivering high-quality lessons and providing individualized support to students.
  • Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
  • Help prepare classroom materials and resources to enhance the learning experience.
  • Supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes, and other school activities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting good behaviour and mutual respect.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student progress and well-being.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed to ensure the smooth running of the classroom.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable.
  • A caring and patient nature, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare would be an advantage but are not essential.
