About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Corporate Counsel to join our team at Google. As a key member of our Legal department, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's approach to regulatory affairs and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret Laws and Regulations: Translate complex laws and regulations into actionable requirements for our Compliance, Business, Product, and Engineering teams.
  • Provide Strategic Advice: Offer expert guidance on compliance programs and policies to help mitigate risk and ensure regulatory readiness.
  • Manage Regulatory Interactions: Lead government and regulator discussions, negotiations, and disclosures on compliance readiness efforts.
What You'll Bring
  • 7+ Years of Attorney-Level Experience: Proven track record in government, in-house, or at a law firm, with a strong understanding of regulatory affairs and compliance.
  • Admitted to the Bar: In good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law, with a deep understanding of laws, regulations, and external commitments.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Experience engaging with regulators, including States AG, FTC, DOJ, and global data protection or consumer protection authorities.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage projects and partner with cross-functional teams, with strong attention to detail, time management, analytical, and investigative skills.
