Position Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and delivering comprehensive patient care with empathy and professionalism. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team is essential, as is contributing to the clinical governance framework. Additionally, the role includes mentoring junior staff and overseeing pre-registration students.

The candidate will assume delegated responsibilities for managing the clinical team and ensuring the maintenance of high-quality patient care during their shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Do you possess the skills to deliver outstanding care in an acute environment and share your expertise with colleagues regarding the management of patients with complex health requirements?

Our medical ward specializes in the care of older adults, featuring 28 beds and a multidisciplinary approach. We are eager to welcome new team members who have a keen interest in geriatric care and the management of patients with complex medical conditions.

A structured induction and training program will ensure that our nurses receive comprehensive support, including:

  • Band 5 induction
  • Corporate and Clinical induction
  • Preceptorship and clinical skills training led by Practice-Based Educators
  • Administration of IV medications

Opportunities to participate in the LEAD courses offered by the trust will also be available.
