Job Title: Electrical Installations Instructor

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Installations Instructor to join our team at Gi Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and training to students, equipping them with the skills and knowledge required for their future careers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Assessment: Deliver outstanding teaching and assessment on a range of courses and learning programs, ensuring excellent learning outcomes for students.
  • Course Development: Develop and maintain high-quality course materials, including schemes of work and lesson plans, to meet the needs of students and industry.
  • Student Support: Provide pastoral care and support to students, including tracking progress, setting targets, and monitoring attendance and punctuality.
  • Industry Links: Develop and maintain strong links with industry partners, promoting the client and recruiting learners.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in internal quality assessment and moderation duties to ensure the quality of learning programs.

Requirements:

  • Teaching Qualification: Hold a relevant teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one.
  • Industry Experience: Have relevant work experience in industry and commerce, preferably in electrical systems.
  • Professional Qualification: Hold an appropriate level of professional qualification in a relevant subject or specialism.
  • Literacy and Numeracy: Have literacy and numeracy skills at Level 2 or above.
  • Assessment Qualification: Hold an assessment qualification, such as D32/D33 A1 or TAQA.
  • Flexibility and Teamwork: Be able to demonstrate flexibility and team working, with a high degree of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Safeguarding: Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people receiving education and training.
