About the Role

New College Swindon is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Animal Management Lecturer to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Learning: Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions, providing students with a planned learning experience and guiding them towards their academic goals.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and coordination of our Animal Management curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant and up-to-date.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the management team to ensure high-quality teaching and learning occurs, and contribute to the overall success of the department.
  • Quality Assurance: Attend programme area meetings and contribute to continual quality improvement, ensuring our teaching and learning practices meet the highest standards.
Requirements
  • Teaching Qualification: Hold a Level 5 teaching qualification or be committed to working towards one during employment.
  • Animal Management Expertise: Possess a minimum Level 4 qualification in a related animal field and have a strong understanding of animal welfare and management practices.
  • GCSEs: Hold GCSEs in English and Maths.
  • Professional Development: Be willing to engage in ongoing professional development and training to enhance your teaching and learning practices.
