About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Foundation Training Lead to join our team at NHS England. As a key member of our workforce development team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of pharmacy education and training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the delivery of the foundation training programme for trainee pharmacists in the South West.
  • Work closely with the Head of School and Regional Head of Pharmacy to oversee the delivery and quality management of foundation training for pharmacists within the region.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including universities, employers, Integrated Care Systems in the South West, and regulatory bodies such as the GPhC.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to support the implementation of the initial education and training of pharmacists (IETP) reform in line with national direction.
Requirements
  • Registered with the GPhC.
  • Clear understanding and evidence of involvement in delivery and management of healthcare education and training.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to 'sell' the vision.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in parallel and prioritise tasks accordingly.
