Job Title: Intermediate Laboratory Technician

We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Laboratory Technician to join our Coloration QC team at Colorifix Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing tests and evaluating color on textiles dyed using our innovative technology to ensure new products meet all quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing the quality of Colorifix products
  • Following Standard Operating Procedures to perform routine laboratory work
  • Performing color fastness testing on dyed samples
  • Colour evaluation of bulk samples
  • Troubleshooting textile/dyeing related issues
  • Produce high-quality records and reports
  • Using databases to schedule work and manage results
  • Management of fabric samples
  • Cross-divisional communications including presentations
Requirements:
  • Degree in a relevant scientific or textile discipline
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in either a laboratory setting or quality assurance of textiles
  • Good organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Able to follow standard operating procedures
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as a flexible team player
  • Ability to navigate databases and confidence with using computers
  • An interest in textiles or natural dyeing
  • Able to pass colour discrimination testing
  • Knowledge of good laboratory safety practice
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience using spectrophotometer software for textiles
  • Knowledge of ISO 105 and AATCC colour fastness methods
  • Experience with Notion
  • Knowledge of colour theory, or an interest with willingness to undertake further training
  • Experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving
