Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Accountant to join our team at BK Plus. As a Practice Accountant and client manager, you will play a key role in providing accounting and business support services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare year-end accounts for a variety of clients, including complex limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships, using accounting software and adhering to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Prepare corporation tax computations and returns for review by senior managers.
  • Prepare deferred tax calculations and proof of tax reconciliations.
  • Produce periodic management accounts for management information purposes.
  • Ensure year-end company accounts and corporation tax returns are submitted in accordance with Companies House and HMRC deadlines.
  • Provide support and training to junior staff.

Requirements:

  • Substantial accounting experience and abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel.
  • Good knowledge of business tax matters.
  • Knowledge of CCH accountancy software (training will be provided if competent on another accountancy software).
  • Knowledge of Sage accountancy software (training can be provided if needed).
  • Able to communicate and provide support to line managers and clients on a regular basis.
