Estimator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at MWH Treatment in Peterborough, with hybrid working available. As an Estimator, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of multiple projects within our Integrated Main Works Framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate Provision: Provide CAPEX estimates at various stages, from high-level comparative estimates for optioneering to detailed bottom-up estimates for development of Target Costs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with multi-discipline teams to understand and quantify scope, and liaise with our supply chain to develop estimates for specific items of scope.
  • Estimating Systems: Review processes and identify best practice with systems, and advise on efficiencies that can be made.
  • Cost Modeling: Develop cost models for digital delivery and standardization, and work with 3D computer models to understand and quantify scope.
  • Cost Base Maintenance: Maintain the cost base, including adding quotations to the estimating database and identifying inconsistencies between market quotations and our cost libraries.
  • Commercial Team Collaboration: Work closely with Cost Managers to ensure a smooth transition from estimating into cost management, and become familiar with the cost capture requirements of Anglian Water.
