Shift Patterns: The position involves a rotation of day and night shifts.
In alignment with NHS Scotland's initiative to reduce the full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours starting from April 2024, this role will reflect the new working hours. However, due to the gradual implementation across various service areas, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes weekly temporarily, for which you will be compensated until the service adjusts its schedules.
Position Overview: We are excited to announce an opportunity to join the Neonatal Nursing team as a Band 2 Neonatal Care Assistant. The Neonatal Unit is dedicated to providing Level 2 care to patients and their families, collaborating closely with other units within the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist nursing staff by maintaining cleanliness and organization within the unit.
- Support general housekeeping duties and ensure all equipment is properly sanitized.
- Prioritize and manage your workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
As a Neonatal Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Nursing and Midwifery teams, delivering high-quality care to our patients. Your daily tasks will involve direct interaction with patients and their families, ensuring adherence to infection control policies and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
Note: The salary will be pro-rata for part-time hours. This position does not qualify for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa, and NHS Scotland is unable to provide a Certificate of Sponsorship.
