About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust. As an Educational Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based interventions for children and young people in educational settings with mild to moderate mental health problems.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver individual and group therapeutic interventions for children and young people with mental health issues
  • Support and facilitate staff in educational settings to identify and manage mental health and wellbeing issues
  • Work in partnership with children, young people, their families, and educators to develop plans for intervention and agreed outcomes
Requirements
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Mental Health Practitioner or equivalent
  • Experience of working with children and young people with mental health issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
