Are you a detail-oriented and organized individual looking for a role in financial services? Our client, a company based in Grantham, is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is adaptable, motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a small team. As an Accounts Assistant, you will have the chance to develop and learn your skills in multiple areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Company Directors and General Manager with accountancy and general administration duties.
  • Provide data analysis and reports from bespoke software and Excel documents.
  • Liaise with colleagues and stakeholders in the wider business.
  • Conduct local audit and data accuracy checks.
  • Reconcile financial statements.
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including postal duties, filing, and key holder responsibilities.
Essential Experience and Skills:
  • Experience working in a financial services environment with a strong knowledge of Double Entry, Bookkeeping, and Sage 50.
  • High level of MS Office literacy, specifically Excel and ability to create pivot tables and formulas.
  • GCSE / Level 2 (or equivalent) qualifications in English and Maths.
  • Flexibility to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, including telephone, emails, and physical documents.
  • High attention to detail in own output and to support colleagues.
  • Positive and proactive approach.
  • AAT qualifications desirable but not essential.

The salary will be discussed at interview stage and will be dependent on experience. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:30pm (with 1 hour lunch), with flexibility for the right candidate.
