About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at The Plough and Harrow. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for running the kitchen, driving the food culture, and ensuring that our customers receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas, working closely with the Head Chef to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and execute special events, such as weddings and corporate functions.
  • Monitor and control kitchen costs, ensuring that we are operating within budget.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a senior kitchen role, preferably in a restaurant or gastro pub environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for creating innovative and delicious dishes.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintaining a calm and composed demeanor in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
