Purpose of the Position


As we experience substantial revenue growth and strategize for further expansion across various regions, we are seeking a dynamic Senior Financial Manager who is prepared to advance towards a Finance Director position.

This role presents a unique opportunity to take charge of financial operations and significantly influence the future trajectory of the company.

Our operations span the entire project lifecycle within the construction sector, from initial conception to final execution.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Oversight:
Manage daily accounting functions for all entities, ensuring precision and compliance.

Monthly Financial Reporting:

Generate monthly financial reports utilizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, encompassing month-end journals, prepayments, accruals, and fixed asset depreciation.


Audit Leadership:
Direct year-end audit activities and ensure adherence to all statutory obligations.

Financial Strategy:
Perform cash flow projections, analyses, comparisons, and forecasts to inform business decisions.

Reporting:
Compile comprehensive reports, forecasts, and ad hoc data for the Board of Directors.

Supplier and Client Engagement:

Oversee payment arrangements for suppliers, address sales invoice discrepancies with clients, and collaborate with the Sales team on credit control issues.


Tax Compliance:
Prepare PAYE and VAT returns, along with related reconciliations and online statutory payments.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably within a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) environment.

Experience with multi-entity accounting and managing international business transactions.

Strong analytical and reporting skills.

Thorough understanding of banking and debtor management.

Exceptional time management and organizational skills.

Proactive, adaptable, and possessing a good sense of humor with a diligent work ethic.

A collaborative team player with high proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and Excel.

Experience with a Business Management System is advantageous.

Qualifications

Ideally, but not necessarily, qualified or part-qualified - CIMA, ACCA, or ACA

Or AAT qualified

Benefits

£50,000 - £70,000 per annum (commensurate with experience)
