Job Title: Principal DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Hybrid

Salary: up to £80k per annum + 20% bonus


We are seeking a highly skilled Principal DevOps Engineer to join our team at Digital Waffle. As a key member of our cloud engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure. Your expertise in AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD will be essential in optimizing our systems for performance and reliability.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with development teams to streamline continuous integration and deployment processes.
  • Technical leadership and liaising with key internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Containerise applications with Docker and orchestrate using Kubernetes.
  • Python or Bash scripts to automate tasks and enhance system functionality.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in an AWS environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD.
  • Solid understanding of cloud-based architectures and best practices.
  • Experience with automation and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid working environment.
  • Technical leadership and liaising with key internal stakeholders.
