Muc-Off is seeking a highly skilled Tribologist to join our team in a key role that will drive innovation and performance in our business.
Key Responsibilities- Define and Deliver Value: As the resident expert in tribology, you will be responsible for defining and delivering every ounce of value from the field in pursuit of our performance mission.
- High-Performance Thinking: You will have high levels of drive, rigour, and leading-edge tribological thinking to create strong analysis and convert that into clear and persuasive reports.
- Test Design and Data Management: You will design and run tests, manage complex data streams, and construct timely and clear reports to drive the performance agenda.
- Collaboration and Innovation: You will work closely with our NPD team to innovate new lubricants with tribology evidence and gather evidence to support and link tribology and drive train efficiency.
- Education: BSc or higher in Material Science & Engineering or a related subject.
- Experience: Experience of tribological testing of lubricants, including fluids, greases, and waxes, as well as the design and refurbishment management of test tokens used in tribology testing.
- Skills: Strong written and excel skills, experience with statistical analysis, and experience with wear measurement and material surface analysis using white light interferometry (WLI).
