4Recruitment Services is currently looking for a Childcare Services Manager to oversee a residential facility dedicated to children with emotional and behavioral challenges. This role is pivotal in ensuring the home operates in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide effective leadership and direction for the residential service, ensuring adherence to Children's Homes Regulations.
  • Staff Development: Supervise and mentor staff, organize work schedules, and facilitate training focused on childcare practices.
  • Experience Requirement: Candidates should have substantial experience in a residential setting, ideally as a Deputy Manager, with a commitment to registration with the appropriate regulatory body.
  • Service Improvement: Continuously enhance service delivery based on feedback from service users and performance metrics.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the overall management and strategic planning of the service, ensuring high-quality care for looked-after children.
Qualifications

A minimum of two years of childcare experience in a residential environment within the last five years is essential. Candidates should possess a professional qualification relevant to the field, such as:

  • Diploma in Social Work (DipSW)
  • Certificate in Qualification in Social Work (CQSW)
  • NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (preferred)
Additional Skills

Experience in collaborating with key stakeholders, including families and social workers, is crucial. Candidates should also have a broad background in staff supervision and care planning for children in residential settings.

Background Check

An enhanced DBS check is required for this position.
