Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and executing a behavioural safety programme, mentoring and coaching front-line teams, and managing the SHE Advisor to ensure effective performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Create and implement a behavioural safety programme to promote a positive safety culture
- Mentor and coach front-line teams to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to manage health, safety, and environmental risks
- Manage and lead the SHE Advisor to ensure effective performance and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Develop, implement, and maintain a health, safety, and environmental management system to ensure compliance with current legislation and Bakkavor policy
- Design, implement, and monitor site health, safety, and environmental performance, and develop action plans to deliver site targets
- Identify and coordinate health, safety, and environmental training and development for managers and employees
- Monitor site risk assessment processes and provide assistance and advice to site assessors to ensure site risk assessments and safe systems of work are maintained and meet regulatory requirements
- NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma or equivalent level 5 or 6 qualification in H&S & Environment
- Passionate about health, safety, and environment and able to influence at a senior level and champion change and implementation at all levels
- Able to demonstrate compliance to legislation and use of problem-solving skills and personal judgement to make optimum business decisions
