Accounts Clerk

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team at Layka Recruitment. As a key member of our accounts team, you will be responsible for processing purchase invoices, managing sub-contractor invoices, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process purchase invoices and sub-contractor invoices in a timely and accurate manner
- Prepare and submit monthly CIS returns
- Closing purchase ledger and sub-contractor ledger at month-end
- Deal with hire purchase schedules and ad-hoc payment processing
- Set up new sub-contractors and ensure all relevant documentation is in place
- Maintain accurate sub-contractor documentation and payment records
- Reconcile sub-contractor accounts and update cashbook
- Process internal plant journals and stores orders
- Prepare monthly accruals
Requirements:
- GCSE Grade 4 or above (A-C) in English and Mathematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
