Job Summary:

Premier Technical Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their prestigious Leeds Office environment. As a key member of the electrical engineering team, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing designs and specifications for control systems across the portfolio of products available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement control system designs that meet the technical requirements of projects.
  • Coordinate site, application, and design engineering resources to ensure project success.
  • Ensure effective interfacing between design, production, procurement, and installation and commissioning site teams to optimize project costs and implementation.
  • Develop a working understanding of applicable industry standards.
  • Manage the technical content of projects with respect to cost, quality, contract documentation, and specifications.
  • Attend customer sites and liaise with customer engineering representatives as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to degree level or above in Electrical Engineering (or comparable qualifications).
  • At least 5 years of previous experience in electrical design work gained in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive design engineering experience in a drawing office environment.
  • Proven project management awareness.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Comprehensive skills in the use of AutoCad Electrical 2020 (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of low voltage motor speed control applications.
