We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 7 Practitioner Psychologist to join our Paediatric Gastroenterology Psychology team at Evelina London Children's Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality psychological support to children and young people with gastroenterological difficulties.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with professional colleagues to provide holistic care. You will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with physical health problems, as well as providing consultation to other professional and non-professional groups.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct psychological assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with gastroenterological health conditions.
- Provide consultation to other professional and non-professional groups on psychological concepts and interventions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care and support to patients and their families.
- Participate in audit and research activities to improve the quality of care and services.
- Supervise trainee/assistant psychologists/students and contribute to their professional development.
- Doctoral level training as a practitioner psychologist, accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) / Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of clinical practice, or attendance at specialist short courses.
