We are excited to present an opportunity for a Regional Engineering Manager to become an integral part of our Facilities Management and Property team. This role is essential in supporting Asset Management while ensuring compliance with current regulations and standards.
Role Overview:
The Regional Engineering Manager will be responsible for providing strategic oversight concerning technical projects, aligning Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) services, and managing significant latent defects across the property portfolio.
This position also entails overseeing and managing critical capital projects, alongside refurbishment and repair initiatives. Candidates should ideally possess a strong background in either electrical or mechanical engineering.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical guidance and leadership for defect management across the estate.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the strategic business plan for Estates and Facilities.
- Lead and direct the city team on all Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) service aspects.
- Act as the onsite project lead, coordinating with third-party contractors to ensure the completion of all latent defects.
- Ensure all project documentation and warranties are submitted upon completion.
- Provide technical assistance during the mobilization of new builds, acquisitions, and refurbishments, including the snagging process.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify key compliance items prior to handover, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
- Review handover documentation and certification, supporting future mobilizations and maintenance strategies.
- Serve as the primary liaison between defect contractors, Estates and Facilities, and operational teams.
- Report monthly to management on the status of ongoing projects across the estate.
Essential Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in a comparable property management role.
- Thorough understanding of current building regulations and legislation.
- Proven leadership abilities with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Degree in Mechanical and Electrical Building Services or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of building construction and mechanical/electrical installations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing projects within budgetary and time constraints.
- Adept at working in a cross-functional environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
- Possession of a full, clean driving license.
