Job Title: Senior Structural Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented Senior Structural Design Engineer to join our team in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and contribute to our continued success in delivering exceptional engineering services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead design teams in the creation of detailed design engineering solutions, drawings, and specifications for slope stability, earthworks, and retaining structures, particularly in the rail environment.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their sector and foster effective relationships.
  • Manage a challenging workload and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
  • Prepare technical documentation, contract documents, and fee estimates.
  • Work in collaboration with other engineering disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership with a relevant institution (e.g., ICE, IStructE).
  • Extensive experience in structural engineering design, preferably within a consultancy environment.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant design codes and standards (e.g., Eurocodes, British Standards).
  • Excellent communication skills and proven leadership abilities.
