Job Title: Maintenance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel in East London. As a key member of our Engineering Department, you will be responsible for the effective maintenance management of all hotel facilities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Engineering Team in the day-to-day maintenance operations of the hotel, including service standards, equipment schedules, and work schedules.
  • Develop and implement systems and procedures to ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Communicate with Housekeeping to coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities for all guest rooms and public areas.
  • Prepare and manage maintenance budgets, including capital and repair and maintenance expenses.
  • Perform daily checks around the hotel property to identify and address any maintenance issues.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ensure good relationships are built with internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Develop and implement energy conservation programs to minimize expenses and reduce the hotel's environmental impact.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience in a maintenance management role in a 5-star luxury hotel or a similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance management principles, including health and safety regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
