As an Embedded Software Engineer, your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Design, Develop, and Test: Contribute to the full software development lifecycle by designing, developing, and rigorously testing software programs tailored for embedded systems.
  • Requirements Analysis: Actively participate in analyzing and contributing to system and subsystem requirements specifications and design definitions.
  • Detailed Design Specifications: Create comprehensive high-level and low-level detailed software design specifications, storyboards, and interface specifications.
  • Product Support: Provide ongoing support for products throughout their lifecycle, from conception to delivery, including problem-solving, defect maintenance, and technical guidance.
  • Documentation and Training: Prepare clear and concise reports, manuals, procedures, status reports, and provide training and guidance to other team members.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven track record of success in software engineering with expertise in specification, design, and development.
  • Demonstrated ability to define test plans and test data requirements.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the capacity to understand and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and debugging applications.
  • Proficiency in Object-Oriented Design and implementation, along with software design patterns.
  • Ability to contribute to the development of application architectures.
  • Experience in maintaining and improving coding standards.
  • Familiarity with software best practices such as Automated Testing (Google Test), Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development, SOLID principles, and Clean Code.
  • Scrum or Kanban experience within Agile teams.
  • Experience with GIT, Jenkins, Bitbucket (or similar), and Conan.
  • Familiarity with DOORS, Test Rail, and Jira.
  • Experience collaborating with test teams to optimize application performance.

C Development Experience Requirements:

  • Experience debugging on target hardware.
  • Experience in platform development with a good understanding of Linux.
