Job Title: BI & Data Warehouse Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Manager to lead our Data Warehouse team in the production of BAU data loads, storage, DR, reporting, and outbound data. As the authority on database management, development, architecture, and future design considerations, you will provide guidance on performance improvements and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team and Task Management:
    • Lead the data warehouse team, managing workload and expectations to the business.
    • Work with the team to build objectives and plan in line with the BI roadmap.
    • Represent and promote the interests of the data warehouse team across the business.
  • Delivery:
    • Manage and assist with BAU work and report production, including review and development of daily and overall warehouse processes.
    • Lead and manage the team to operate in and across specialist functions such as Data Engineering.
    • Work with the team to deliver best practice database design to meet business requirements.
    • Manage and assist in the integration of new data sources into the data warehouse.
    • Drive the Data Warehouse team to deliver solutions that fulfill business information needs and align with the Data strategy and vision.

Requirements:

  • Team leadership and development experience.
  • MSSQL/MS SQL Azure expertise.
  • Database architecture and design knowledge, including pros and cons of relevant schemas/structure.
  • Experience with the MSSQL stack, including SSIS, SSRS, and SSMS.
  • Database installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, backups, and recoveries.
  • Stakeholder management.

Desirable:

  • Telecoms background.
  • Project Manager experience.
  • Scripting languages, such as PowerShell, JavaScript, and VBScript.
  • Azure DevOps.
