Overview:
Our client is an expanding organization seeking to appoint a Strategic Sourcing Manager who will report directly to the Head of Procurement.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for an individual with extensive experience in Indirect Procurement across various categories and industry best practices.

The successful candidate will oversee contractual negotiations, manage organizational budgets, and mitigate risks or challenges that may arise within critical supplier partnerships.

Exceptional communication skills are essential to effectively engage and influence both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate a comprehensive Procurement strategy and negotiate top-tier agreements.
  • Lead and execute strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Conduct proactive analysis of expenditure data and contractual terms and conditions.
  • Offer procurement expertise to secure optimal supply terms and formalize supply agreements.
  • Establish, assess, and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Supply Level Agreements, and continuous improvement for the category.
  • Consistently seek to enhance supplier performance.
  • Deliver ongoing value to both internal and external customers through effective supplier management.
  • Champion the supplier due diligence framework.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to oversee supplier contracts, including renewals and new agreements.
  • Streamline and reduce the supplier base, creating a manageable list of suppliers to maximize profitability while fully understanding operational requirements to minimize risks and liabilities.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven procurement expertise, strong relationship-building skills, and a commercial mindset.
  • MCIPS qualified or pursuing equivalent qualifications.
  • Exceptional commercial acumen and negotiation skills are crucial, with a strong numerical aptitude.
  • Experience managing complex or high-value/risk products and services.
  • Robust Indirect Procurement experience across multiple categories.
  • Experience in Supplier Management.
  • Senior-level experience in a Corporate Procurement setting.
  • Proven track record in leading procurement governance and delivering value in an operational context.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
