Job Title: Court of Protection Solicitor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solicitor to join our Court of Protection team at Davies and Partners Solicitors.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established law firm with a national reputation for excellence and strength in depth in a wide range of legal services. As a Court of Protection Solicitor, you will be responsible for providing litigation support to senior members of the department, working on substantial case files, and managing Property and Affairs Deputyships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide litigation support to senior members of the department, including contentious Deputyship work.
  • Manage Property and Affairs Deputyships, working with brain-injured and vulnerable clients.
  • Assist with tax affairs and accounts, drafting Personal Injury Trusts, Statutory Wills, and Welfare Deputyship applications.
  • Have day-to-day contact with clients, acting on their individual lifestyle requirements.
  • Delegate and supervise tasks where appropriate to paralegals and trainees.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Legally qualified as a Solicitor and registered with the SRA, or FCILEx qualified Legal Executive within Court of Protection and Clinical Negligence, with between 3-5 years PQE (Grade B).
  • Appropriate experience of Court of Protection law and practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to maintain and build upon existing client relationships through positive business development and acting as an ambassador of the company.
