Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Tooling and Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes by maintaining and repairing press tooling, identifying and implementing modifications, and supporting production teams to achieve targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work safely and efficiently to maintain and repair press tooling, adhering to company Health & Safety and environmental standards.
  2. Contribute to continuous improvement activities, such as process flow improvements and health & safety enhancements.
  3. Support 5s activities throughout the shop floor, promoting a culture of working safely and efficiently.
  4. Follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines to ensure maximum effectiveness.
  5. Participate in training and development activities to enhance personal and team development.
  6. Be prepared to undertake and support other reasonable requests made by the company.
  7. Work in a small team, unsupervised, reporting directly to the Tool Room Coordinator.
  8. Maintenance and repair of press tooling, including transfer and progression tools.
  9. Identify and implement modifications to press tools as necessary.
  10. Assist production teams to achieve production targets by resolving tooling problems in press.
  11. Carry out preventative maintenance to ensure optimal tooling performance.
Requirements:
  1. Previous experience in a busy factory or manufacturing environment is desirable.
  2. Ability to multi-skill and learn products and processes.
  3. Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions and complete required production paperwork.
  4. Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  5. Welding skills would be advantageous.
Package:
  1. Competitive salary.
  2. 37.5-hour week, working Monday to Friday.
  3. Paid overtime after 37.5 hours.
  4. Permanent contract.
  5. Potential for advancement in Company.
  6. Overtime (up to 1.5 hours compulsory overtime per day depending on business need).
  7. 20% shift allowance on PM shift.
  8. Work wear and PPE provided.
  9. Health surveillance.
  10. Free parking.
  11. Working a 2-shift pattern rota.
Shift Patterns:

AM – 06:00am – 14:50pm – Monday to Thursday
06:00am – 12:10pm – Friday
PM - 14:50pm – 23:35pm – Monday to Thursday
12:10pm – 18:40pm – Friday
