Your Responsibilities

In this position, you will be tasked with supporting the planning, budgeting, forecasting, and capital governance across the Sainsbury's Group. Your primary focus will be on delivering capital financial oversight and analysis to ensure the effective execution of our Group Investment strategy. You will collaborate with Finance representatives from various divisions, overseeing benefits realization and the Post Investment Review (PIR) process, while providing insights and reporting to key forums such as the Capital Returns Forum (CRF). Your duties will include producing timely and accurate capital reports, coordinating the capital budget and forecasts, and managing the Group capital benefits realization database and reporting. Furthermore, you will assist the Finance Transformation team in implementing the Future Finance Programme and support Half Year and Year End accounting deliverables. As a proficient communicator, you will cultivate trusted relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders, demonstrating high levels of drive, resilience, and commercial insight in enhancing financial and commercial performance.

Your effective communication skills and ability to foster trusted relationships enable you to collaborate with stakeholders to deliver timely and accurate capital reporting, manage performance, and ensure benefits realization. Your robust commercial insight empowers you to drive financial and commercial excellence, while your background in financial planning and business collaboration, particularly within the retail sector, provides a solid foundation for success in this role. Pursuing a Professional Accounting Qualification, you possess advanced Excel modeling skills and a commitment to continuous improvement. With your focus on facilitating strategic decision-making and optimizing financial performance, you become an essential asset in shaping the future of retail finance at Sainsbury's.
