Programme Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Programme Manager to join our team at McFall Recruitment Limited. As a Programme Manager, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating the commercial viability of contracts within our publishing services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Evaluation: Review and assess existing contracts in the publishing sector, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Business Analysis: Conduct detailed analyses to determine the impact of increased business levels on staffing, resources, and operational capabilities.
  • Revenue Maximization: Develop strategies to maximize revenue opportunities within current contracts while ensuring sustainability and alignment with our objectives.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all departments are equipped to handle potential business growth.
  • Client Relationships: Foster strong relationships with clients to understand their business needs and expectations, aligning contract terms to mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Contract Negotiation: Provide leadership in the contract negotiation process, ensuring transparency and accountability in all transactions.
  • Financial Performance: Analyze and report on financial performance, margins, and resource allocation associated with publishing contracts.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within contract management, procurement, and operational workflows.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with charity policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices related to publishing contracts.
  • Market Trends: Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify new business opportunities and strategies.

Requirements:

  • Project Management Experience: Proven experience in project management, preferably within the print, procurement, or financial services sectors.
  • Contract Management Skills: Strong understanding of contract management, including financial analysis, commercial forecasting, and negotiation.
  • Publishing Experience: Experience in publishing or print services is highly desirable.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to assess the commercial impact of changes and business growth.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools and software, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Procurement Knowledge: Understanding of procurement processes, operational capacity planning, and resource management.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Professional Qualifications: Professional qualifications in project management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP).
  • Non-Profit Experience: Experience working with non-profit or charity organizations.
  • Financial Analysis: Background in financial analysis or contract negotiation.
