Position Overview:
We are seeking a Construction Work Planner to support our operations in the public sector. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective planning and execution of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Construction Work Planner, your primary duties will include:

  • Engaging with Subject Matter Experts to gather technical data for work pack preparation.
  • Conducting site walk-throughs with relevant parties to verify work scope, boundaries, and requirements.
  • Preparing comprehensive risk assessments aligned with the defined work scope.
  • Incorporating relevant Operating Experience Feedback into work packs.
  • Timely development of work packs, adhering to established milestones.
  • Creating user-friendly work pack documents and maintaining standard formats for all activities.
  • Coordinating necessary resources and access to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Determining crew sizes and required durations for effective task completion.
  • Addressing conflicts and issues that may hinder milestone achievements.
  • Communicating any constraints to the Work Week Manager to facilitate timely work pack completion.
  • Collaborating with Engineering to identify material needs and ensuring availability prior to project initiation.
  • Evaluating feedback to enhance future work pack quality.
  • Maintaining planning history archives for efficient preparation of work packs.
  • Coordinating with contractor resources to manage plant access and mitigate risks.
  • Providing guidance to lower-level planners on Integrated Work Management process standards.
  • Offering insights on work planning issues and opportunities to ensure stakeholder engagement.

Essential Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A background in engineering.
  • The ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Prior experience in planning roles.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience in managing urgent requests.
  • A collaborative mindset to work effectively within a team.
  • A willingness to consider candidates from diverse construction backgrounds.
