About the Role

The University of Oxford is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join the Data Quality Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting statutory reporting, using tools such as SQL Developer and Alteryx Designer to extract and transform data from the student records system (SITS:Vision).

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation and production of four key student statutory returns to the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA)
  • Oversee the Student Registration process, ensuring the accuracy of student information
  • Collaborate with the Data Quality Team to monitor the quality of student data in the student record system
  • Work closely with Graduate Studies Assistants in Divisions and Departments to monitor key areas of postgraduate student data
Requirements
  • Technical confidence in database design and experience in the configuration and management of records and tables within a complex records system
  • Ability to analyse and interrogate data from databases and a methodical approach to investigating problems and resolving issues
  • Proven line management experience, with excellent coaching and development skills
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and conflicting deadlines

The Data Quality Team is a small, specialist team with an open and collaborative culture. We enjoy regular cross-team meetings and collective problem solving.
